

Since version 2.6, passenger car skins can include configurations for named express trains. If it is detected that you have the shorter coaches installed, potential consist lengths will be increased since more cars can now fit on a track. Fauxnik has released a mod, Sliced Passenger Cars, which shortens the coaches so that they don't derail as often. The default passenger cars are known to behave badly on tight curves due to their length. Once all the cars are loaded, a bell will sound indicating that you're clear to depart. The platform signs will indicate that boarding or disembarking is underway. Passengers board or disembark after you've come to a complete and final stop at the platform for at least 5 seconds.

If you prefer the vanilla wage/bonus behavior, you can disable this new system under the mod settings menu. All the new jobs are gated behind the new Passengers 1 job license, which can be obtained from the Career Manager the same as other licenses.Įxpress jobs will by default pay half as much for the base wage, but if you complete the job under the time limit, you will be compensated the full 1.5x wage you would with any other job (this is to simulate passengers desiring timely service). The new jobs include intercity express jobs (platform -> platform) and commuter/worker transport jobs between towns and industries (siding -> siding). This mod adds new job generation scripts to the stations containing passenger yards. You must run the "Perform data purge for uninstall" option before disabling/removing the mod! Failing to do this can cause your jobs and licenses to be reset the next time you load the game! As of version 3.0, save data is safely sequestered from the main game state so that no special action is required to uninstall :)
